Sara Johnson grew up in cities across the country prior to settling in the Madison Valley. Having grown up in crowded urban areas, Sara felt drawn to the simplicity of the smaller town environment. In the spring of 1999, Sara was offered an opportunity to try life in a small town while working on a guest ranch in Ennis, MT. The opportunity fit well with her schedule as an elementary school teacher so she packed her bags and headed east from Washington. It didn’t take long for her to realize that small-town life fit her personality well and she soon made the move permanent, finding teaching jobs in the local schools. Before long she settled into the Ennis community permanently.
After working in teaching for nearly a decade, Sara decided to pursue another interest in real estate sales. After receiving her real estate license, she continued to work full time in the classroom while selling real estate in her spare time. In 2004, she studied to acquire her broker’s license and shortly after decided to work in the real estate field full time in order to better serve her clients’ needs.
Sara was instrumental in opening Fischer Realty in downtown Ennis in 2004 and worked there as the managing broker for over six years before being given the opportunity to join the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Montana Properties team as the managing broker for the Ennis office. She finds that real estate gives her the opportunity to meet and interact with new people on a daily basis which is one of her greatest passions. She prides herself on her exemplary service, honest nature, and hard-work ethic.
In addition, Sara has a passion for business and has created and opened two other businesses in Ennis. She opened Madison Square Athletic Club and Apex Management in 2005, and sold her share of each company in 2008 to focus full time on her real estate career. In her spare time she likes to read, dabble in photography, and travel internationally for humanitarian causes.
